It wasn’t unusual for the backstage area to reek of paint or paint thinner or some other chemical that was used around the set.  Perfume and hairspray were also common, trailing the girls around as they ran with their shoes in their hands from one side of the stage to the other between cues.

This is the show I'm in rehearsals for.  It's running from August 29 to September 20 at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY.

This is more or less what it looks like, so if you're into 1920s-style debauchery set to jaunty, raunchy jazz with a big helping of electric guitar, it just might be the show for you.

First costume fitting... feeling very inadequate.

Ohmygod.  In shock -- got the job.

Three auditions in the next week.

Stress baking!  I've got extra cupcakes.

First audition of the week's over.

( should i give up or should i just keep chasing pavements/even if it leads nowhere/or would it be a waste even if i knew my place )
